While the Pro version has a list price of €559.00 EUR, and an upgrade price of €59.99 EUR, Elements, whose features are limited compared to its full-featured sibling (but is still absolutely capable of a wide variety of tasks), is €99.00 EUR. There’s more: Wavelab now supports High DPI, which means that the software is fully supported by the modern ultra-high resolution displays.
So there is the possibility of a significant improvement when processing files with this new powerful engine. Wavelab (either version) now features a 64-bit audio engine, just like Cubase, that uses double precision computation for increased accuracy and detail from summing, mixing and effects. And that is just one of Wavelab’s amazing features.
You can drag entire folders into Wavelab and simply apply fades, or normalize levels, or add one or more effects, to a whole list of files, which can then be exported into a separate folder so you won’t lose your originals. So many things are to be found in the suite – and wait, don’t forget about the batch processing options.
They are audio editors and mastering suites, so their features will move in two directions: morphing, cutting, processing, organizing audio files, or mastering (in fact, almost all of the plugins in the Master Rig have been updated with new features). Wavelab Pro 9.5 and Wavelab Elements are most certainly products that everyone should consider, whether you’re making music, organizing samples, are a mastering engineer or a sound designer. If you purchased WaveLab 9.5 prior to this date, an update will cost you €79.99. Audio Montage Inspector and the track list have seen an overhaul, aiming to deliver user interface improvements with dedicated controls for audio, reference and video tracks.įor those who have been in possession of WaveLab since 17 September 2019, you are eligible for a free, downloadable Grace Period update to the latest version. The Audio Editor now features its own independent Undo/Redo history, as well as the Audio Montage sporting Undo/Redo. Also exclusive to the Pro version is the ability to record and render live input streams through the Master Section and the inserted plug-in chain.īoth versions of WaveLab now provide video playback, allowing you to arrange, edit and process the audio of a video within the Audio Montage, using the same video engine as Cubase and Nuendo. Reference Track is also new to WaveLab 10 Pro, which lets you drag in any audio file to the session as a reference, and switch playback between the reference and montage track with minimal latency. External editor support is also featured, meaning you can integrate editors such as SpectraLayers or iZotope RX into your workflow, allowing clips to be edited within these editors from within WaveLab. WaveLab Pro offers external effect device integration, allowing you to set up external FX busses in your signal path for further mastering flexibility.
